IEI Tiruvallur Local Centre (TVLC) celebrated Engineers Day on 15th September 2025 at RA Auditorium, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai. The event honored the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, recognizing his remarkable contributions to engineering and nation-building.

As part of the celebration, Mr. Ganesamoorthy Arumugam, Head of Engineering, ZF CVS, was felicitated with the Engineering Excellence Award. He also delivered the 48th Technical Lecture on “Safety & Security of Future Commercial Vehicles.”

The lecture highlighted innovations in vehicle safety, sustainability, and advanced automotive technologies, inspiring students to pursue excellence in engineering and research. Around 160 participants, including students, faculty, IEI coordinators, practicing engineers, and professional members, attended the event.

The program emphasized the significance of Engineers Day, promoted awareness of industrial practices, and strengthened collaboration between academia, industry, and IEI. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the distinguished speaker, participants, and the venue partner institution.
