IEI Tiruvallur Local Centre (TVLC) celebrated World Habitat Day 2025 on 13th October at RA Auditorium, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai. The event focused on the global theme “Urban Crisis Response,” emphasizing sustainable urban development and environmental responsibility.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. D. Vasudevan, Ph.D. (RTD), Joint Chief Environmental Engineer, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Chennai Zone. He shared valuable insights on managing urban environmental crises, pollution control, and sustainable city planning.

The session inspired over 150 participants, including students, faculty, and professional engineers, to explore innovative and eco-friendly solutions for urban challenges. It also highlighted the vital role of engineers in building sustainable and resilient cities.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming IEI TVLC’s dedication to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable engineering practices to create better, safer habitats for future generations.
