On the occasion of World Water Day 2026, The Institution of Engineers (India), Tiruvallur Local Centre (IEI TVLC) successfully organized an online Paper Presentation Competition on 20th March 2026 for engineering students across Tiruvallur. A total of 21 teams participated in the competition, presenting innovative ideas based on the theme “Water and Gender.” The event provided a valuable platform for students to showcase their research, technical knowledge, and presentation skills.

Following a comprehensive evaluation by the jury, the top three teams were selected as winners and were awarded cash prizes by IEI TVLC in recognition of their outstanding performance. These winning teams were further forwarded to represent IEI TVLC at the final round conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India) – Tamil Nadu State Centre (IEI-TNSC), where they competed with teams from across the state.

The event was successfully conducted, creating awareness on water conservation and sustainability while encouraging students to address real-world challenges through innovative engineering solutions.
